![]() I keep particle density down because I like to be able to see through smoke a little better than just a thick black or grey blob in front of me. I'm never on Mozdok anymore because I quit playing Arcade Battles, and I don't think Mozdok is part the Realistic Battle map rotation, or if it is, I haven't encountered it in the 600+ games I've had in RB.īut, other people might, and as it may be the most demanding map in rotation, using it to set up your system for optimal performance seems like a good idea to me.Įxtra AA: High Quality Full Screen AntialiasingĪs you can see, everything is at maximum. I used Mozdok for FPS testing because it seems to be the laggiest map in the whole lineup. I'd like to see Gaijin scale radar properly for larger resolution. Here are the screens overlayed together to compare sizes directly: ![]() The radar is unusable at this point, cannot see a thing. Note the radar screen is much smaller, but still useful.Ībove is 4k reduced to 1080p. In the screenshots below, I have scaled a 4k and 1440p screenshot down to 1080p to match the 1080p screenshot to compare the size of the radar:Ībove is 1440 reduced to 1080p. At 4k, unless you have a 40" monitor, will be very difficult to see. The first thing of note is that while most things in the GUI scale with the "Large Screens" and "Small Screens" option, one very important thing does not: The Radar in the top right hand corner. Gigabyte GTX970 Gaming 1 (factory overlcocked speeds : GPU 1178MHz, 1329MHz boost : Memory 1753MHz (7012 effective)) I tested ONLY 1080p, 1440p and 4k (38040x2160) resolutions, as I have only 16:9 monitors. That said, here are the pertinent specs for my rig, to give you a baseline of what performance you can expect from not-top-of-the-line systems in higher-than-1080p situations. I play with the highest settings I can that keep a constant 60FPS so that the quality and fluidity of my gameplay experience never changes.Īlso, I usually run my stuff at mild overclocked speed to get just a tad more out of my hardware, but for the sake of this post, I've set everything to stock, as I know some people are not interested in overclocking at all. Let me preface all of this by saying that I run all of my games with V-Synch on, and my monitor(s) are 60hz.
